Blue Thunder

The secret weapon of the police force, Blue Thunder, weaves through the towering skyscrapers, its firepower enough to destroy half a city. A group of corrupt police officers intend to use it for illegal activities. Frank Murphy, the pilot, is framed and hunted due to his knowledge of their plans. Determined to break through the encirclement and eradicate the criminals, he sets off on a dangerous mission.

Blue Thunder is a special, improved helicopter developed by scientists. Initially intended as a tool to assist police work, it was later designed as a secret weapon to suppress street rebellions after being armed. Its firepower is potent enough to destroy numerous large buildings or even an entire city. After the design of Blue Thunder was perfected, its developers wanted to test its power but needed to train a pilot. They approached Los Angeles police officer Frank Murphy, who accepted the training and learned how to use the new aircraft in an urban setting. However, during the flight back from Vietnam, Murphy had disagreements with the program's designated pilot. As their conflicts deepened, Murphy began to suspect that the true purpose of Blue Thunder was not as he was told. Someone was planning to use it for illegal activities. He became a target for assassination, and thus began a battle of wits and courage.
