The agony of autumn

This film is adapted from the eponymous novel, which once won the annual novel award of the Turkish Writers Association. The son of a large landowner, a young nationalist Behcet, fell in love with a Greek girl who made her living from prostitution. However, in that era when Turkish-Greek relations deteriorated again in that year, in that land shrouded in shadow, Behcet was caught in the struggle between love, friendship and politics.
