Plot of No Man's Land: The story takes place in 1993, at the peak of the Yugoslav civil war. One night, a pair of Croatian soldiers on reconnaissance at the front line got lost in the thick fog and had to wait until dawn before taking action. The soldiers were joking around and soon fell asleep. Early the next morning, when the bright sunlight dispersed the mist, they realized they were at the very front line of the battlefield, not far from the Serbian enemy camp.

The Serbs noticed their presence and quickly attacked them. Outnumbered, only one Croatian soldier, Sik, survived, hiding in an abandoned trench at the boundary between the two armies. This place was called "No Man's Land." The Serbs sent an experienced veteran with a rookie, Nino, to search the trench. They placed what appeared to be the body of a Croat soldier, Sera, on a landmine, setting up a trap that would detonate if anyone moved the body slightly. After completing this carefully planned operation, they discovered that a rifle which had been there earlier was now missing. At this point, Sik angrily jumped out from the trench, killing the veteran and injuring Nino. Sik himself was also wounded.

Now it became a direct confrontation between Sik and Nino, but for the time being, neither seemed capable of completely defeating the other. They could only stay in the trench waiting for an opportunity. Unexpectedly, Sera, who had been used as bait for the trap, gradually regained consciousness. It turned out he wasn't dead; he had just been knocked unconscious and injured. Now all three found themselves in an extremely awkward situation. If Sera moved, the landmine would explode, and all three would meet their end. Sik and Nino had no choice but to cooperate to get out of this predicament, working hard together. Most importantly, they had to keep Sera quiet and still while they waited for rescue.

Clearly, these two men from opposing camps harbored hostility and hatred towards each other, but to pass the time, they started an unfriendly conversation. Surprisingly, they discovered that they had both once liked the same woman, which seemed to ease the tension for a moment. But soon Sik and Nino fell into more intense arguments, accusing each other's nations of starting the war, which disrupted their peaceful lives and destroyed their beautiful homeland.

Their predicament finally caught the attention of both sides' forces. The Croatians and Serbians both sought help from the United Nations peacekeeping forces. Sergeant Marchand of the French Blue Helmets arrived upon hearing the news to resolve the issue. However, the top command forbade him from getting involved in this sensitive matter. Colonel Sofort in the headquarters was busy flirting with his sexy secretary and had no interest in dealing with this troublesome problem. The enthusiastic Marchand decided to disregard his superior's orders and do everything he could to help the two unfortunate soldiers. He found that carrying out the mission was fraught with difficulties. Most people here didn't speak French, creating serious communication issues, and the bureaucratic style of the UN peacekeeping forces prevented him from making progress. He tried to persuade the two to leave the trench, but Sik firmly refused to abandon his comrade Sera on the landmine. Under strict threats from his superiors, Marchand reluctantly left the trench without resolution, causing tensions between the two to rise again in his absence.

On his way back, Marchand encountered Jane, a female journalist from an international television channel who had heard about the incident. Determined to seize this great material, she threatened to expose this "non-intervention" action. Marchand had no choice but to bring her back to the trench and report to his superiors, bringing in bomb experts. With the involvement of the media, this small trench became the focus of world attention. Colonel Sofort, seeing the situation heating up, personally went to handle the matter to restore the image of the peacekeeping forces.

The situation seemed to be getting increasingly out of control, with everyone trying to solve the problem for their own purposes. But how long could the poor Sera hold on? Would the bomb explode? Would Sik and Nino kill each other? What a ridiculous day...
