Main Cast of "Lift Up": Lee Beom-soo, Cho Ahn, Lee Yoon-hee - Soaring Through the Clouds

Plot of "Lift Up": Lee Ji-yeong (played by Lee Beom-soo), a bronze medalist in weightlifting at the 1988 Olympics, had his athletic career cut short due to injury. With nothing but his muscles and an obsession with weightlifting, he became a weightlifting coach at a rural girls' high school. There, he met a group of energetic country girls. Yeon-jee (played by Cho Ahn) has the perfect physique for a weightlifter, having developed strong shoulders from helping with farm work. Hyun-jeong (played by Jeon Bo-mi), who has a crush on the school's top heartthrob, is determined to enter Harvard Law School and become an FBI agent. Su-eok (played by Lee Seol-fi), a model student aspiring to join the FBI, also dreams of becoming a world-class weightlifter. Yu-sun (played by Choi Moon-kyung), a filial daughter wanting to succeed in weightlifting to support her sick mother lying in bed, and Bae-young (played by Kim Min-young), who always exudes strength, are among the team. Min-hee (played by Lee Yoon-hee), enchanted by the aesthetics of weightlifting attire, is known as a "four-dimensional beauty."

Despite their differing personalities and appearances, these country girls possess the world's strongest tenacity and passion. Moved by them, Coach Lee Ji-yeong organizes a dormitory for these girls who have nowhere else to go and begins training them formally. Starting from the basics, under Coach Lee's guidance, they gradually develop into professional weightlifters. Finally, they are ready to challenge for Olympic gold.
