The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber

The story involves the adventures and misfortunes of Zhang翠Shan, one of the Five Heroes of Wudang. While returning to Wudang Mountain for the birthday celebration of his master, Zhang Sanfeng, Zhang翠Shan encounters Yin素Su from the Tianying Sect. Unaware of each other's identities, they engage in combat, during which Zhang翠Shan is deeply impressed by Yin素Su’s character and martial arts.

Meanwhile, Yu岱Yan, another Wudang hero, obtains the Tulong Dao (the Dragon-Slaying Saber) but is ambushed by Yin素Su’s siblings who steal it. To prevent Yu岱Yan from dying of poison, Yin素Su hires the Longmen Escort Agency with a rich reward to return Yu岱Yan to Wudang, threatening to exterminate all seventy members of the agency if they fail.

Upon arrival at Wudang, Shaolin monks from the Western Regions impersonate Song远Qiao, the eldest disciple of Wudang, deceiving everyone. Yu岱Yan, unable to reveal the whereabouts of the Tulong Dao, has his limbs and tendons severed. Later, Yin素Su learns that Yu岱Yan is actually Zhang翠Shan’s senior brother, but it is too late. Determined to make the Longmen Escort Agency pay, the agency is wiped out in one night, leading suspicion directly to Zhang翠Shan.

Later, Yin素Su confesses everything, admitting that she framed Zhang翠Shan to incite conflict between Wudang and Shaolin. Zhang翠Shan forgives her after realizing her intention was to save her elder brother.

At a grand ceremony held by the Tianying Sect on Mount Wupan, Zhang翠Shan and Yin素Su attend, only to be suddenly attacked by Xie逊Shun, the Golden-Haired Lion King. Using extraordinary skills, Xie逊Shun seizes the Tulong Dao and uses the Lion Roar technique to drive many participants insane, then kidnaps Zhang翠Shan and Yin素Su, fleeing north by boat to study the secrets of the Tulong Dao.

After an ice collision, Xie逊Shun's old injuries from the Seven Injuries Boxing worsen, causing him to go berserk. Yin素Su blinds Xie逊Shun with a poisoned needle, allowing her and Zhang翠Shan to escape on floating ice. They eventually drift to Ice-Fire Island where they marry. Xie逊Shun also drifts there, and Zhang翠Shan agrees to coexist peacefully as Xie逊Shun is blind and cannot live alone.

When their child is born, Xie逊Shun regains sanity upon hearing the baby's cries. The child is adopted by Xie逊Shun as his godson and renamed Wu忌Ji. On Wu忌Ji's tenth birthday, Xie逊Shun calculates a way back to Central Plains and throws Zhang翠Shan’s family onto a raft, forcing them to leave while he stays behind with the Tulong Dao.

Back in Central Plains, trouble brews as everyone inquires about Xie逊Shun's whereabouts. Two elders use the玄Ming Palm to injure Wu忌Ji. Meanwhile, Zhang翠Shan and Yin素Su face difficulties when Yu岱Yan identifies Yin素Su as the person who once harmed him with mosquito hair needles. Admitting her past crimes, Zhang翠Shan feels ashamed before Yu岱Yan and refuses to betray his elder brother, choosing instead to commit suicide publicly to protect Wudang. Heartbroken, Yin素Su follows him in death.

Years later, Zhang三Feng does his utmost to treat Wu忌Ji but fails. Wu忌Ji fortuitously meets Hu青Niu, a medical expert of the Ming Sect, and Zhou芷Ruo, a woman who greatly influences his life. Although Hu青Niu cannot cure Wu忌Ji, he learns the supreme martial art Nine Yang Divine Skill, enhancing his abilities and driving out the cold toxins within him. Zhou芷Ruo, now grown up, becomes a disciple of the Emei Sect.

On his way to the Ming Sect's Brightness Peak, Wu忌Ji reunites with Zhou芷Ruo, who deliberately loses to ensure his safe retreat. However, during the battle among various sects, Cheng Kun suddenly appears disguised as a Shaolin monk and attacks everyone. Only through Wu忌Ji’s Nine Yang Divine Skill is Cheng Kun defeated, earning respect from the Ming Sect who elect Wu忌Ji as their new leader.

While pursuing Cheng Kun to Shaolin, Wu忌Ji encounters Zhao敏Min, the most important woman in his life, carrying the Yitian Sword. She lures everyone to an estate and poisons them. Wu忌Ji retrieves the antidote but falls into a trap with Zhao敏Min. During their time together, Zhao敏Min gradually develops feelings for Wu忌Ji.

Simultaneously, Shaolin Temple is brutally massacred by mysterious figures intending to frame the Ming Sect. Zhao敏Min pretends to be the leader of the Ming Sect, attempting to force Shaolin and Wudang to align with the court. Her schemes are discovered by Wu忌Ji, who sends a young Taoist named Qing Feng to defeat her subordinates and forces Zhao敏Min to hand over Black Jade Continuation膏Gao to heal everyone.

From this point onward, Wu忌Ji, Zhao敏Min, and Zhou芷Ruo embark on a series of unforgettable love journeys filled with deep emotions and difficult choices.
