Court cockfighting

Dalong Country and Jiguan Country often interacted through cockfighting. Jiguan people regarded chickens as gods, but their roosters always lost to Dalong's golden rooster. Dalong claimed that the golden rooster was unbeatable because it was hatched from the emperor's dragon body. Jiguan sent a beautiful spy named A Guo to investigate the situation from Dalong's chicken trainer Jia Cai. Emperor Dalong accepted the suggestion of Princess Month to hold a cockfighting competition, which caused a cockfighting craze among the people. Farmer Zhang Laosan brought a mixed-breed rooster to the cockfighting arena. This rooster liked drinking alcohol and couldn't resist joining the fight after drinking, defeating two other roosters. Princess Month selected the mixed-breed rooster into the palace, where it caused a lot of embarrassment. Prince Xian got angry and expelled Zhang Laosan and his dog Dan from the palace. Prince Hui suggested that the mixed-breed rooster should fight with the golden rooster. Jia Cai used his usual trick to make the opponent's rooster drunk, but unexpectedly, the mixed-breed rooster became more aggressive after drinking and defeated the golden rooster. The emperor was upset, but Princess Month managed to resolve the situation. Jiguan sent another challenge letter to the golden rooster. On the day of the cockfight, Jiguan set up an ambush and trapped the emperor and ministers of Dalong. Prince Hui devised several plans to deal with Jiguan, while Prince Xian surrendered out of fear and was despised by others. Jiguan planned to massacre everyone before the rooster crowed, but the mixed-breed rooster crowed early, causing all the roosters in the area to crow and foiling Jiguan's plot. Jiguan proposed another cockfight, and the mixed-breed rooster fought bravely, defeating the opponent and saving the lives of the emperor and ministers, as well as the territory of Dalong. Upon returning to the capital, the emperor appointed Zhang Laosan as General Longhu and put him in charge of the imperial chicken house. The previously unknown mixed-breed rooster became the first great contributor to Dalong country.
