The amnesia in deep space occurs as a spaceship drifts slowly in the boundless darkness spreading in outer space. It appears to have no power and no one driving it, drifting like a meteorite suspended in the universe. After a long time, a body with various tubes and instruments suddenly begins to twist inside the cabin, and a pair of sleeping eyes suddenly open. "Who am I? Where am I? How long have I been asleep? What should I do? Why am I here? Why am I in this space capsule?" This young man named Paul, played by Ben Foster, is naked, has lost all his memory, and is full of panic about not knowing where he is. With some residual memories in his mind, Paul takes a flashlight and begins to explore everywhere. The cabin is full of abandoned machinery, dust accumulated from long-term disuse, and many suspicious traces and tools. The huge spacecraft was inexplicably abandoned. Where did the original crew and passengers disappear to? Full of doubts, he found Peyton, played by Dennis Quaid, another person abandoned on the spaceship who is equally bewildered. The two began together to search for their memories and the truth, discovering that this ship full of 60,000 passengers had mysteriously disappeared. Deep in the cabin, voices kept coming. So they went to investigate and were shocked to discover many mutated creatures. They are very agile, very strong, emit piercing screams, and Paul and Peyton also find that if they are hit by them, they will turn into the same kind of monsters. The only thing Paul and Peyton can do is to escape, and they also decide to find a way to fight these monsters, regain control of the spaceship, and uncover the truth of the whole matter.
