Big Fish Daddy

Will Billy Crudup as remembers that since childhood, his father Edward Albert Finney as loved to talk at length about the many strange stories he experienced as a young Alabama traveling salesman. They were so bizarre that even young Will often doubted their authenticity. He felt that he didn't really understand his father and couldn't accept his fantastic tales, which gradually strained their relationship. Later, Will married a French woman named Josephine and finally left home and his incessantly talking father. For three whole years, Will had no contact with his family. One day, his mother Sandra Jessica Lange as suddenly called. She told Will that his father had cancer and would soon pass away, asking him to come home for a last meeting with his father. Will and his wife returned home. Will once again heard his father's legendary stories from his youth. According to Edward's account, when he was young, played by Ewan McGregor, he was an ambitious and spirited person who always wanted to leave his small village to experience life in the big city. During his travels, he encountered an old witch, a giant, a place called Ghost Town, a circus trainer who turned into a werewolf every night, a Korean singer, and a big fish that no one could catch. Besides these legends, Edward also recounted the love story of himself and his wife Sandra - how he met her, how her beauty moved him, and how he proposed to her. Although Will discovered that these stories contained a lot of embellishments, they were much more real than what he used to think. They were just a way for his father to preserve the passion and honesty of the past. In the final moments of Edward's life, he finally earned the respect and understanding of his son. Finally, Will told his father a very true story - Edward would peacefully pass away surrounded by his beloved family.
