A Certain Scientific Railgun

The spin-off manga "Railgun" which features the popular character Misaka Mikoto from the light novel "A Certain Magical Index" written by Kazuma Kamachi, has been announced for animation at the time of the conclusion of the main series. It has now been confirmed that the animated version of "A Certain Scientific Railgun" will start airing this month. The animation production will be handled by the same studio responsible for the main series "A Certain Magical Index". Longwell Dragon Snow, who has performed excellently in works such as "Honey and Clover", "The Idolmaster", and "Dragon Tiger Battle", will serve as the director for this series. The anime character design will still be handled by Yuichi Tanaka, who was responsible for the main series. The series composition will be managed by Seiji Mizusaki, known for his work on "Sword豪: Life or Death Imagination Agent", and he also contributed to the scriptwriting of the main series. In terms of voice actors, Misaka Mikoto, Shirai Kuroko, and Kamijou Touma will continue with the same cast from the main series, while the two other important characters introduced in "Railgun", Shokuhou Misaki and Saten Ruiko, will be voiced by the recently active voices actresses Minami Tsuda and Kanae Itou respectively.
