Yuuji Miura, the light novelist known for his work "Banzai Series," which won the Special Jury Prize in the first Bunko Light Novel Newcomer Award, began writing "The Smith of the Holy Blade" after publishing eight volumes of the Banzai series. So far, three Bunko editions have been released and have already caught the eye of an animation company, which has decided to adapt it into an anime. More information will be disclosed in the fourth volume of the Bunko edition, set to be released on a specific date in the month.

The novel is written by Koutarou Yamada, author of "The Ruler's Sword," who also adapts it into a manga serialized in a monthly publication. He is also responsible for the illustrations in the novel. The light novel "The Smith of the Holy Blade," with original story by Yuuji Miura and illustrations by Ryuuna, has been published since January 201X, releasing a total of X volumes, becoming a popular work with cumulative sales exceeding one million copies. The manga adaptation by Koutarou Yamada began serialization in the Monthly Magazine’s February 20XX issue.

Early this year, the announcement of the anime adaptation was made, and it has now been confirmed to air during the autumn season of the same year. This marks the fourth action movie anime produced by the studio behind "Chaos;Head," "Death Agent," and "Doumeki & Hakkin." Directed by Masahiro Hinata, known for works such as "Armored Core" and "Pokémon," the series composition is handled by Masanori Suzuki, who worked on "My Girlfriend Is a Fox," while character designs are by Jun Nakai, renowned for "Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Dragon."

Koutarou Yamada's comic draft tells the story of a forbidden war that took place in the distant past, driven by demonic contracts across the continent. Cécile Campbell, a young noblewoman from an old knightly family, encounters a man wielding a peculiar sword who repels a giant using the forbidden demon contract. Originally searching for a smithy to reforge her father's ancient sword, nearing the end of its life, Cécile becomes fascinated by the man's sword. The mysterious man named Luke runs a blacksmith shop. This shocking encounter marks the beginning of everything.
