Following the recent nationwide hit TV series "Flawless: A Forest of Masters", which has consistently topped the ratings, Qi Wei's acting has been widely praised. From her debut as a long-haired, demure songstress five years ago to her current persona as a short-haired, commanding elder sister figure, from achieving fame with one song and transitioning into film and television to now becoming a leading actress, all these transformations are testament to Qi Wei's relentless and strategic efforts. The title track "If Love Is Forgotten" serves as the closing theme for the TV series "Love Has Awoken," adhering to a healing love song genre without being overly clichéd or bland. Additionally, the singles "Confiscation" and "Between Black and White," the latter a collaboration with范逸臣 Fan Yichen, serve as insert songs for the TV series "Flawless: A Forest of Masters," starring Qi Wei, and have performed admirably on major domestic music charts. The lyrics for "Between Black and White" were personally written by Qi Wei herself; during the creative process, when she felt nearly overwhelmed, she sought advice via phone from her mentor Jay Chou's lyricist Fang Wenshan, ultimately completing the task successfully under his guidance. The song "Confiscation" gently narrates a woman's sincere yearning and hope for love, easily evoking memories of the characters "You Xiaoru" and "Ye Rou" from the "Flawless" series—two passionate and fearless "Miss Rou"—which Qi Wei claims are close to her true self: cool but not devoid of kindness.
