New Australian immigration term: Special Occupational List (SpOL)

As part of the Australian Workforce Development Strategy, Skills Australia has recently designed a new list to summarize the special occupations needed in Australia. Unlike the current Skilled Occupation List (SOL) used for immigration purposes, occupations on the new SpOL often require more time to develop talent and have high market demand, but come with relatively higher risks.
