After the world university ranking organization QS released the ranking of science and technology majors in 2011, it recently announced the ranking of medicine majors this year. The University of Melbourne ranked first among all Australian universities and 15th in the world. Other Australian universities ranked in the top 50 in the world include: the University of Sydney at 29th, the University of Queensland at 33rd, Monash University at 36th, and the National University at 46th.
