The film tells about that the US government wants to employ people to go deep into a country in South America to overthrow the local dictatorial rule, but no one dares to accept such a task. Ultimately this task falls to a special operations group led by Sylvester Stallone. The leader played by Sylvester Stallone, Barney Ross, is a man who has little to lose, he is far-sighted yet cynical, his only trusted partners are his old truck, seaplane and his loyal squad. His men: Lee Christmas (played by Jason Statham) is a SAS member; Bao Thao (played by Jet Li) is an expert in close combat; Hale Caesar (played by Terry Crews), a guy familiar with Barney Ross for 10 years, is an expert in long-range weapons; Toll Road (played by Randy Couture) specializes in explosions, and is also the think tank of the team; finally Gunnar Jensen (played by Dolph Lundgren), a veteran skilled in sniping, but needs to fight with his own demons all the time.
