Suspect refused to take off his clothes and was beaten to death by prison bullies, the director of the detention center and the policemen on duty were suspended

Luo Jingbo, a 57-year-old man was criminally detained by Danzhou police on suspicion of illegally trading, and privately stockpiling firearms, ammunition and explosives, and was held in the first detention center of Danzhou. Luo Jingbo was recently beaten by several suspects in the same prison cell which resulted in a broken cervical vertebrae. He died the next day after unsuccessful rescue attempts. After the incident, the People's Procuratorate of Danzhou City intervened in the investigation. Currently, the head of the first detention center of Danzhou, a deputy head and the police officer on duty that day have been suspended and are being investigated by relevant departments.
