Two young men drowned after a bet on who dared to jump into the river when drunk and sank together

In the early hours of yesterday morning, two young men in their 20s near Wu Channel in Huangpu District of Guangzhou, after betting "daring or not jumping into the channel" over late-night drinking with friends, they made an appointment to jump into the river. Their friends who were with them at the time jumped in to save them, but to no avail as it was precisely the rush hour of the tide and the water flow was too rapid, the two sank to the bottom of the water together.
