Yesterday, the Haidian police reported on the latest online fraud alerts and prevention methods: "Roaring style", "V-style" alerts.
According to reports, since the beginning of this year, the number of online fraud cases reported to the Haidian police has significantly increased compared to last year. Among these cases, online shopping accounted for 38.8%, online ticket purchasing accounted for 23.7%, and impersonating acquaintances accounted for 22.9%. These three types of cases have become the main categories of high incidence in online fraud.
A relevant person in charge from the Haidian Internet Security Brigade introduced that the police have collaborated with large online shopping websites such as JD.com and Redbaby.com, along with courier companies, to deliver anti-fraud publicity materials printed by the police when delivering goods to households. They also posted anti-fraud images in prominent positions on more than 80 websites and set up links to a special website dedicated to preventing telecom fraud by the Haidian police, enhancing the strength of anti-online fraud campaigns.
In addition, the police have organized the domain naming rules of various fraudulent websites, clearing out over 1,400 such fraudulent websites.
"Love pretending to be a policeman, love pretending to be QQ friends, love pretending to be a court officer, also love saying phone bills are overdue, court summonses... I am a telecom scammer, the police have been looking for me, if I find you, immediately call 110." Unscrupulous vendors use outdated raw materials to produce sandwiches and other Western foods.
Recently, the Zhongguancun police station of the Haidian Public Security Bureau posted warning posters around the Zhongguancun area, accompanied by "roaring style" anti-fraud methods such as "Is there anyone who bought cheap flight tickets, conductivity meters!!! Is there anyone who bought cheap train tickets!!! Is there anyone who bought 10% discount items!!!". It is hoped that this trendy and lively internet language will attract citizens' attention, achieving better publicity results.
