The love that lingers between the teeth

This is a true new story that took place during a tour. The main characters in this story are two elderly people.

One day, the two elders left the tour group and walked hand in hand to the cliff to watch the sunset. The sunset was incredibly beautiful. The ground was bathed in orange-red morning霞light, like a shower of moon rain, splashing onto the rocks and grass, twinkling with brilliant sunlight.

The two elders were completely absorbed in the magnificent scenery when suddenly, she felt something beside her falling down. Instinctively, she reached out and grabbed it - it was her husband. She pulled on his collar, trying desperately to pull him up, but no matter how hard she tried, it was all in vain. He hung on the cliffside and didn't dare to move, for otherwise they would both fall into the valley and die. She could hardly hold on as her legs went numb, her arms swelled and tightened, feeling like they might tear off from her body at any moment. She realized her strong arms couldn't support his heavy body, so she bit his collar with her teeth, determined to hold on until the very last moment. She hoped someone would appear suddenly to save him!

He was hanging on the cliff, which was just like having his life nailed at the gate of death. In the twilight of these quiet mountains, who would come to the cliff? Realizing this, he said: "Let go, my dear..."

She tightly clenched her teeth and couldn't speak, only using her eyes to signal him not to say anything.

One minute passed.

Two minutes passed.

Ten minutes passed.

In the dimness, he felt warm, sticky liquid dripping onto his face. He slowly realized it was blood flowing from her mouth, with a faintly fishy taste. He pleaded with her again: "Please, my dear, let me go! Your love is enough. Facing death, I won't blame you..."

She still bit his collar tightly, unable to speak, and could only use her eyes to repeatedly stop him from struggling.

An hour passed.

Two hours passed.

He felt more warm droplets falling on his face and knew she was bleeding from the seven orifices. His heart was torn apart yet he could do nothing. He knew she was fighting death with a resolute heart. He suddenly realized that the weight of life wasn't as heavy as he thought before. Death loomed over him like a fierce tiger or an eagle, its wings flapping powerfully, ready to snatch away his life...

After an unknown amount of time, the tour group found them by the cliffside with their torches and finally rescued them. She stayed in a nearby hospital for quite some time.

After this incident, all her teeth fell out, and she could never walk again.

Every day, he pushed her in a wheelchair down the street to watch the sunset. He said: "Why did you bother to save such a stubborn head? Look at you now, your teeth..."

She murmured: "My dear, I know that if I had let go, I would have lost not just you, but also half a lifetime of happiness..."

He pushed her towards the sunset.
