"The Veteran and the Younger Soldier" integrates elements of action, comedy, war, and love. The story is set against the backdrop of the Warring States period involving the seven major states. As for the specific content of the film, Jackie Chan revealed earlier that it is an action comedy with an ancient war setting. However, the story doesn't have much to do with the war itself, which only serves as a backdrop. The theme of the movie promotes peace. It roughly tells of how my character, the veteran, needs to kidnap Wang Leehom's character, the younger soldier, to my territory. A series of interesting events occur in between, including dark humor as well as educational significance.
