Introduction to the Plot of TV Series "House":

Yi Shiqing has been in arrears with his mortgage payments for a long time because he helped his brother and is now being taken to court by the bank. His house will be forcibly auctioned off by the court. In order to save his home, Yi Shiqing starts borrowing money and collecting debts frantically without telling his wife, Ding Jiayan. However, all efforts are in vain. Not only does he get ridiculed by his old classmate and rival, real estate tycoon Wang Pingshi when asking for money, but also his act of using public funds to repay the loan puts him at risk of imprisonment.

In order to prevent Yi Shiqing from ending up in jail, Ding Jiayan reluctantly seeks help from Wang Pingshi. This deeply hurts Yi Shiqing's pride and causes cracks in their already strained marital relationship due to life pressures. One disaster after another strikes as Yi Shiqing gets fired from his company and becomes an unemployed middle-aged man. To cope with the sudden changes in life, Ding Jiayan stops being a full-time housewife and takes a job at Wang Pingshi’s company, which pushes her emotional relationship with Yi Shiqing into extreme crisis. Eventually, they get divorced, plunging Yi Shiqing into the lowest point of his life.

Shi Tianlei, Yi Shiqing's childhood friend, learns that Yi Shiqing got into trouble because of helping him. Already overwhelmed by triangular debts, Shi Tianlei decides to take out high-interest loans again. Unexpectedly, the lender tightens the screws, even capturing his fiancée Ju Xiaomei as a hostage. In a panic, Shi Tianlei accidentally commits murder and goes on the run.

Ding Jiayan returns to her parents' home. Her mother, who has endured many hardships during the house-buying process, complains incessantly and persuades Ding Jiayan to remarry Wang Pingshi. Meanwhile, Ding Jiayan's younger sister, Ding Jiaxin, shows great sympathy for her "former brother-in-law."
