There is no doubt that this film is an exciting and entertaining tribute to the great science fiction films of the 1950s. That was the first prosperous period in post-war America, when the whole country was filled with huge bubbles of hope and success, but paradoxically, people also had to live under the threat of nuclear weapons.

It all began in 1957, under the starry night sky over the Mojave Desert in California... It was a very special evening when the famous astronomer Ted Lewis (Eric McCormack) was preparing a lavish dinner to celebrate his wedding anniversary with his beautiful and charming wife Lana (Jodie Thompson). Meanwhile, in the same town, a waitress named Temi (Jenny Baird) was brewing big plans for her future at a local diner. When she looked out the window at the stars, she unexpectedly spotted a meteor, which she felt was undoubtedly a good omen for her dreams.

But that glowing object mistaken for a meteor was actually a UFO from outer space. Like a fireball, it hurtled toward Earth and eventually crash-landed on a hill in the Californian desert... The only witnesses were Dick (Andrew Dunbar) and Penny (Sarah Smyth), who were making out nearby at a lovers' hideout.

A tall, metallic alien named Up emerged unscathed from the wreckage, only to be horrified moments later when he realized that "Geta," who should have been confined to the ship, had escaped. This was a bloodthirsty, cruel, and murderous creature whose hobby was destroying all tangible life forms... As a one-eyed, highly threatening being, "Geta" had an uncontrollable desire to devour life, and it could potentially destroy human civilization on Earth.

Only Up knew how to stop this terrible extraterrestrial creature. To recapture "Geta," Up reluctantly had to take over Ted's body and intervene in human form... Local law enforcement, including Sheriff Dawson (Dan Lauria) and Officer Vernon (Robert Patrick), were full of skepticism about such surreal events, so they were basically of little practical help. With Temi's help, Up must subdue "Geta" before it wipes out all the residents, using the nutrients from Ted's human body - this energy is enough to allow humans to multiply and dominate the Earth.
