Continuing from the previous series, DIE (Detection Intelligence Elite), under the leadership of Long, repeatedly solved bizarre cases and eventually achieved "honorable disbandment." Except for Crystal who is on maternity leave and Sir Fee who retired and returned to his hometown in Scotland, all other members have returned to their previous workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remain unchanged, continuing to give headaches to their superiors and facing exclusion at work.

During a large official event, the former DIE team gathers on-site for different missions. Just then, Crystal, who happens to be passing by with her baby, instinctively tries to apprehend her old nemesis Big Mouth Yip engaged in illegal activities, accidentally intruding into a restricted area. This triggers a chain reaction causing chaos, making the top cop lose face on the spot... The blame falls down, and high-level police officials convene an emergency meeting. Long's immediate superior, Law Yau Hang, proposes reassembling DIE to get rid of these troublesome subordinates again. These troublemakers, who cannot be fired, are gathered once more and left to their own devices. Due to the original DIE supervisor Sir Fee retiring, Hang is forced to take up the responsibility of leading DIE.

Crystal learns about the reformation of DIE and becomes eager to end her maternity leave and return to work. However, Long, influenced by his macho mindset, tricks Crystal into agreeing to take a year off and become a full-time mom to take care of the baby. Later, when Long's tricks are uncovered by Crystal, she refuses to be manipulated and decides to apply for reinstatement herself. Returning to the Serious Crime Unit, Crystal works with newly arrived high-flyers whose personalities and styles clash like Mars colliding with Earth. Additionally, as Crystal had previously offended the top cop, her superior fears she might jeopardize the Serious Crime Unit and transfers her back to DIE under some pretext. Back at DIE, Crystal entrusts her baby to family members for care. However, this causes conflicts between her mother and grandmother over childcare, leading to constant quarrels day and night. To avoid a family feud, Crystal's father orders her to personally take care of the baby. As a result, Crystal brings the baby to work, where the DIE team takes turns caring for it, creating a series of hilarious situations...

Hang, in order to quickly get rid of the difficulties, continuously overworks everyone and deliberately splits DIE, forcing Long and Crystal to lead separate teams in case-solving competitions. Initially, Long and Crystal just do their respective duties, but Long, with his psychic abilities, solves multiple cases, putting his group far ahead in the competition... Meanwhile, Crystal unintentionally discovers that the baby seems to have inherited Long's abilities, possessing incredible supernatural powers that often predict answers to things, helping Crystal make correct choices and repeatedly escape danger. Doubtful yet undecided, Crystal temporarily does not inform Long about this matter... To avoid inadvertently causing her subordinates to be dismissed, Crystal secretly uses the baby's supernatural abilities to assist in investigations, impressing others. Eventually, Long finds out about this, feeling very dissatisfied and worried that this might adversely affect the baby's growth, strongly opposing Crystal's abuse of the baby's supernatural abilities. Their relationship heats up further. At this time, Long reunites with his first love, Wen Chuchu, and works hard to help clear her name in a murder case, making Crystal extremely jealous, leading to a cold war between the couple... Unexpectedly, "Xiao Yi" reappears, but this "Xiao Yi" is not the real Xiao Yi... Long, perhaps thinking about Xiao Yi during the day, dreams of meeting her. In the dream, Xiao Yi issues a shocking warning, indicating that the life-and-death fate between Long and Crystal remains unresolved. Although temporarily avoiding disaster due to Crystal giving birth to the baby, as the baby grows older, misfortune will return, and Crystal will face mortal peril. Just as Long is half-believing this, the major villain from the previous series, Zhen Xiangrong, reappears before Long and Crystal... It turns out that this person is actually Zhen Xiangrong's twin brother, Zhen Xianghua, who has been secretly hospitalized in a foreign psychiatric hospital due to mental health issues and has returned to carry out his revenge plan...
