"Two Wives" tells the story of a man who lost his memory due to a traffic accident and the series of events that happen between him, his ex-wife, and his current fiancée.

Soo Ae plays Han Ji-sook, an unmarried mother who independently runs a high-end wine shop and a flower shop. Ji-sook's character lies between calmness and passion. While studying in the U.S., she fell in love with her boyfriend and had a child. However, she returned to Korea alone with her child without marrying her boyfriend. Despite her family introducing her to many men, these men all proposed that if they were to divorce in the future, she would have to pay a high amount of alimony. Already thoroughly disappointed in men and deciding to live alone, Ji-sook meets romantic writer Kang Cheol-soo (Kim Ho-jun) and falls in love with this money-agnostic writer. Cheol-soo, living as a full-time writer, is a poor writer who does not even have a representative work and earns money by working part-time as a lecturer at the university and writing miscellaneous articles. Naturally, the financial power of the household is controlled by his wife, Yoon Young-hi.
