My time management

As an employee of Beijing Bailing Expansion Company, over the years, I feel that my ability to manage time has greatly improved both in work and life. I am an employee of Beijing Bailing Expansion Company, and my workload is quite heavy. During busy times, it even disrupts my normal sleep schedule. From March to October every year, working without fixed hours is a common occurrence. But I want to loudly say that I am grateful for such a working environment because it has honed my management skills, allowing me to excel in all aspects of life such as work, study, life, exercise, leisure, etc., without neglecting any one of them. I now really enjoy this state of living and working, feeling very fulfilled and grounded. The key to achieving this success is managing my personal time well.

Below, I will share my time allocation system. First, I place work as the top priority. My job requires me to work normal hours from Monday to Friday like everyone else, occasionally needing to work overtime if important tasks are not completed during the day. During the peak season of six months, weekends are also filled with work as I have to lead groups outside.

Due to the long working hours, my rest time, study time, exercise time, and socializing time are all squeezed in whenever possible. Although it seems like there is little time, I find this method quite effective. This time allocation enhances my execution ability. Once the work is done, I quickly arrange these other activities, otherwise, there won't be any opportunity to do them, thus overcoming procrastination.

Before working at Beijing Bailing Expansion Company, I was involved in wedding videography, which gave me plenty of free time. However, I often procrastinated on various activities. For instance, I would plan to go running but later think it's too tiring and decide to start tomorrow instead. Such laziness led to wasted time, as I ended up spending most of it watching TV dramas, failing to achieve anything meaningful with my ample free time.

I realized that people's habits when doing things are interconnected, and this habit has given rise to my time management skills. When I am busy with work, I have already developed a habit of learning and allocating time optimally. These two habits are the secrets to why I can handle everything so efficiently in such a busy work environment.

My daily time management roughly follows this pattern: First, I try to complete my work on time to avoid overtime. If I finish my work early, I quickly look for relevant materials to learn more about areas where I lack professional knowledge, continuously improving my work capabilities.

Second, during busy periods at the company, due to the nature of my job requiring irregular working hours, I have developed a habit of exercising. In the morning, if I don’t have to lead a group, I run for half an hour before breakfast and then go to work. If I have to lead a group in the morning, I switch to running in the evening. If neither morning nor evening allows time, I take a short break. Whenever possible, I maintain this routine to keep myself healthy for better work and life.

Third, during lunch and dinner, I browse news or special television programs to increase my understanding and awareness of societal developments. During rest times, I open my computer and check the latest news that interests me. For some topics, I skim through the headlines, while for others, I read the main content quickly, allowing me to cover more information.

Fourth, social gatherings can only be scheduled during rest times. Visiting my parents can be done after work in the evenings. As for household chores, I simply find appropriate times to handle them.

In summary, I maintain an optimistic attitude towards everything, believing in my ability to do every task well or to the best of my ability. Therefore, I happily enjoy everything I do. I don't waste time regretting or lamenting negative things, nor do I spend time on meaningless activities. It’s much better to use that time to learn new knowledge or address more important issues, avoiding the negative effects of bad moods.

Actually, according to one's own schedule, learning to use the统筹method (overall planning) and constantly finding more suitable time arrangements can help manage even the busiest schedules effectively. This way, happiness will always accompany us.
