Special Zone One: Abdominal Navel
Health Preservation Keywords: Eliminating abdominal fat, winter weight loss, preventing and treating constipation.
The abdominal navel area is a "key stronghold" for health preservation experts. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the central navel of the abdomen is called "Shen Que." Massaging and stimulating this area can benefit the lungs and kidneys, calm the mind, soothe the liver and gallbladder, beautify the diet, promote smooth flow in the triple burner system, preserve health, and prevent diseases while strengthening the body.
Abdominal rubbing also has good auxiliary therapeutic effects on arteriosclerosis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, cerebrovascular diseases, and obesity.
Health Preservation Method:
Overlap both hands and place them on the navel, applying moderate force while maintaining natural breathing, and rub the abdomen clockwise around the navel.
For people who lack regular exercise, it is suggested to develop a habit of alternately slapping the middle and lower abdomen with both palms during leisure time or when walking (frequency of once per second) for 20 minutes. This promotes abdominal metabolism.
Special Zone Two: Ear
Health Preservation Keywords: Preventing frostbite of the ear, aiding kidney health.
In TCM, the kidney opens its orifice at the ear. Regularly rubbing the earlobe can prevent ear frostbite and strengthen the kidneys and waist, promoting longevity.
Health Preservation Methods:
Lifting the earlobes. Place the index fingers behind the ear screen, then use the index and thumb fingers to lift the ear screen and earlobe from inside outwards. The technique should start light and gradually increase in intensity, with the pulling strength limited to what does not cause pain. Do this for 3-5 minutes each time.
Hand-massaging the ear rim. Make fists with both hands, then use the thumb and index fingers to push and massage up and down along the ear rim until the ear rim becomes flushed and warm.
Lifting the ear tip. Use the thumbs and index fingers of both hands to pinch the earlobe tip, then lift, twist, and rub 15-20 times until the area feels warm and red. This method has sedative, analgesic, brain-clearing, vision-enhancing, and fever-reducing effects.
