IZEA today launched a new product named SocialSpark amid a swirl of controversy. Through SocialSpark, IZEA hopes to extend its PayPerPost concept into social networks in an effort to elevate its brand and service offering. Today at PostieCon, CEO Ted Murphy unveiled the platform. IZEA is attempting to build a social network around the relationship between bloggers and advertisers from the ground up. Some might say that MySpace and Facebook are doing the same thing, but I can tell you that there are two key differences: SocialSpark is geared toward the profiles of bloggers, and their aim is to create a network of trust to replace the "wolf in sheep's clothing" advertising relationships.
