IZEA today launched a new product called SocialSpark amid some controversy. Through SocialSpark, IZEA aims to bring its PayPerPost concept into social networks in order to elevate its brand and services. The platform was officially unveiled today at PostieCon by IZEA's CEO, Ted Murphy. IZEA is attempting to build a social network from the ground up that revolves around the relationship between bloggers and advertisers. Some might say that MySpace and Facebook are doing the same thing, but there are two key distinctions: SocialSpark is tailored towards bloggers' profiles, and their goal is to create an environment of trust to replace the wolf-in-sheep's-clothing type of advertising relationships.
