Zeng Quankun rushed to the hospital, where his son, in a daze, told him that shortly after leaving the school gate—within about 50 meters—two young men with steel rods suddenly appeared and hit him on the head without a word. One of them was his former classmate, Zheng Lin (a pseudonym), who was in the same class as Zeng Lintao during his first year at the vocational high school, while the other man "wore a white mask." However, before Zeng Quankun could ask for more details, Zeng Lintao vomited and then fell into a coma. Although the hospital performed emergency craniotomy surgery, as of yesterday, Zeng Lintao remained unconscious, and the hospital had issued several critical condition notices.

"How could such a well-behaved and honest boy suffer this misfortune?" Zeng Lintao's classmate and close friend, Wang Jie (a pseudonym), suspected, "This might be a case of love-related violence!" Wang Jie said that the Zheng Lin mentioned by Zeng Lintao was his classmate during his first year at the vocational high school. At that time, Zheng Lin was dating Jiang Wen (a pseudonym), also from their class. However, two months later, Zheng Lin broke up with Jiang Wen and subsequently left the school.
