Tangka is a Tibetan scroll painting. Its meaning in Tibetan is flat, open and vast. It is respectfully referred to as Living Buddha by the locals. Whoever gets it will have peace and good luck for life. The story takes place in Inner Mongolia, China. An American businessman, Chambers, spent a lot of money hiring a former US Army Special Forces soldier, Lanson, to help him look for treasures. With Lanson as the leader, they brought along a local person as a living map, an archaeologist as a translator, the American Chambers, his adopted daughter Annika, and several bodyguards to form a treasure hunting expedition team. They are looking for an invaluable treasure in the dangerous and remote areas of Inner Mongolia - a Tangka made of gold and silver threads with diamonds and jewels embedded on it. This Tangka is not only a sacred object from the East, but also worth a fortune. This invaluable treasure also makes the greedy and cruel former Russian officer Zhukov covetous. During the search process, they engage in a thrilling battle with the Russian agents who also want to get the Tangka treasure. However, these agents are not just after the Tangka. What kind of magic is hidden in the Tangka? What do the agents really want to get? Ultimately, the righteous Lanson leaves the Tangka at the local temple and disappears into the sunset.
