In "Love Kills," Brigitte Lin plays a female college student whose roommate's brother comes to the U.S. on business and falls madly in love with her. This brother is already married and has a history of mental illness. He obsessively believes that the only reason she does not reciprocate his love is because of his marriage. He promises her that he will remove all obstacles between them. After returning to Hong Kong, he suffers a relapse of his mental illness, murders his wife, and flees back to the U.S. to see Lin. In reality, his feelings are one-sided; the woman does not like him at all. Repeated rejections drive him into a rage, believing she has played and ruined him. His resentment grows until he ends up killing everyone in the dormitory.
