Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Edward and his younger brother Alphonse, overwhelmed by their longing for their deceased mother, violated the greatest taboo of alchemy—attempting to resurrect the dead—and conducted human transmutation. However, the transmutation failed catastrophically: Edward lost his left leg, and Alphonse lost his entire body. In a desperate attempt, Edward sacrificed his right arm to bind Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor. Yet, the price they paid was far too great. Together, Edward and Alphonse embarked on a journey to find the Philosopher's Stone, hoping to restore what they had lost. With steel prosthetics replacing his right arm and left leg, Edward became known as the "Fullmetal Alchemist."
