Dr. House, referred by a well-known American weekly as one of the most fascinating characters in TV history, is back. Nominated for four Emmy Awards and a favorite to win, Dr. House is an atypical doctor who never wears a white coat, always has stubble, leans on a cane, and pops painkillers like candy. He believes everyone lies, either avoiding patients and their families or mocking them with sarcasm, even hurling insults. His diagnostic methods are unorthodox, often directing his three subordinates to break into patients' homes to find the source of illness, and not hesitating to use extreme experimental treatments that push patients or himself to the brink of death, all in pursuit of solving complex medical puzzles. Though he often causes trouble, there's always the hospital dean and his close friend, an oncology expert, to take responsibility. Last season's plot broke the first three seasons' routine, directing a hospital version of Survivor, selecting three new subordinates from numerous applicants. However, trouble brewed at home when a rejected applicant, a venomous woman, lured away his exclusive good friend. As he thought he had found the love of his life, she indirectly caused a car accident leading to her death. Will he forgive? How will they repair their relationship? Will the long-ambiguous relationship finally work out? What's the fate after being diagnosed with Huntington's disease? All will be revealed in Season 5 of Dr. House.
