The mysterious death of Katie, the niece of journalist Keller (Naomi Watts), occurs suddenly. The reason for her death is that Katie watched a strange videotape with three classmates. It's rumored that everyone who watches the content of this tape will die mysteriously seven days later. Skeptical Keller decides to investigate. She discovers that Katie's three classmates also died on the same day, and the exact time of their deaths was all in the evening. Keller finds the room where Katie and her friends watched the tape and discovers the infamous videotape inside. All four children died exactly seven days after watching it. Could the rumor be true? To pursue the truth further, Keller puts the tape into a VCR. The tape shows some fragmented and inexplicable images. After watching the tape, Keller receives a mysterious phone call. The caller whispers two chilling words: "Seven days." Keller begins to feel the terrifying atmosphere surrounding her. She has seven days to solve the mystery of this videotape or she will meet the same fate as her niece.
