Journey to the West breaks through traditions and incorporates computer technology, presenting a fascinating story. It tells of a monkey born from a magical stone on the Mountain of Fairies, who becomes a disciple of Patriarch Subodhi and is named Sun Wukong. After rigorous training, he masters a set of magical powers but later causes a major disaster due to drunkenness and is thus pressed under the Five Elements Mountain for five hundred years. Later, Guanyin informs Sun Wukong of a way to save himself: he must follow Tang Sanzang on a pilgrimage to the West as his disciple and once he achieves enlightenment, he will be saved. Sun Wukong then sets off with Tang Sanzang. On their journey, they frequently encounter demons and monsters. Together with Zhu Bajie and Sha僧, they work together to overcome difficulties, embarking on an arduous journey to obtain the scriptures from the West.
