Adapted from the famous Korean comic artist Hyun-se Lee's comic "The Terror of the Outsider Baseball Team", the protagonist's nickname, Magpie, almost became a cultural brand at the time, sparking a Magpie Hye-sung sensation. The female lead, Yeon Ji, also became the dream lover in the hearts of Korean men. In the year Director Chang-ho Lee brought Hyun-se Lee's "Outsider Baseball Team" to the big screen, setting a record for the highest box office sales at that time. "The Outsider Baseball Team" was adapted from the original comic by the beloved comic artist Hyun-se Lee among young friends of the era. The successful movie adaptation of the comic "The Terror of the Outsider Baseball Team" has now been adapted into a TV series and graces the television screen. With baseball as its backdrop, the series tells stories of love, dreams, and challenges faced by baseball players, showcasing the pure friendship and romance of the protagonists. Played by Yoon Tae-young, Hye-sung Wu suffered numerous hardships from a young age. After meeting Yeon Ji Choi (played by Min-jung Kim), he begins to get involved with baseball, making it and Yeon Ji his ultimate goal to strive for. As an adult, Hye-sung Wu becomes a uniquely talented monster pitcher, holding the record for the fastest pitch speed in Korea. However, after playing despite concealing a shoulder injury, Hye-sung's baseball career faces a crisis of termination. To help Hye-sung, Yeon Ji gathers the "Outsider Baseball Team" composed of five uniquely talented baseball players to support Hye-sung, firmly believing that nothing is unattainable with effort. Dong-chul Ma (played by Sung-min Park) achieves the title of the strongest hitter in Korea through relentless personal effort. In the match against Hye-sung, Hye-sung sacrifices his shoulder while Dong-chul loses his self-respect and the love of his life from years ago. However, Yeon Ji only sees Hye-sung's pain and fails to notice the hurt inflicted on Dong-chul, leaving Dong-chul deeply heartbroken. Yeon Ji feels uneasy as she wavers between two excellent men, Hye-sung and Dong-chul, feeling that she has wronged them both. Yeon Ji's younger sister, Hyun-ji (played by A-young Song), was once saved by Hye-sung during her elementary school days. Since then, Hyun-ji has had a one-sided crush on Hye-sung, who is like a prince to her. Even as a high school student, Hyun-ji still loves Hye-sung, but Hye-sung only has eyes for her older sister Yeon Ji, seeing Hyun-ji merely as a cute younger sister. As the complex emotional entanglements among Hye-sung, Yeon Ji, Dong-chul, and Hyun-ji unfold, a romantic love story set on the baseball field begins.
