Traces of damage

This is a 3-hour movie set in the late 19th century American West, in which the story of a cowboy who, while delivering horses with his reluctant teenage nephew, becomes the protector of a young Chinese girl from being abducted by ruthless adversaries, and whose attempts to care for her are complicated by the responsibilities of evading a band of enemies who would stop at nothing to kidnap the girl for their own evil purposes.
