A Letter to My Father

A filmmaker sets out to make a documentary in memory of his murdered friend, only to discover that the woman who killed him is pregnant with his child. Director Kurt Kuenne's powerful documentary began as a tribute to his murdered friend Andrew Bagby, who was killed by his deranged ex-girlfriend in . However, when Kurt traveled across the globe to interview the friends and family of the woman who killed Bagby, he discovered that she, Shirley Turner, had fled to Newfoundland to escape arrest and remained a free woman under the protection of Canadian law. During this time, she revealed that she was carrying Andrew's child. When David and Kathryn Bagby, Andrew's parents, learned that this woman was responsible for their son's death, they also went to Newfoundland to be closer to their grandson. But this made things worse.
