Avast! Antivirus has been updated to v4.8.

This update is still for both the Home Edition and Professional Edition.

Important updates include:

* Added anti-rootkit, anti-spyware functionality

* Enhanced antivirus software self-protection features

* Instant messaging protection now includes protection for QQ

* Successfully tested on Vista SP1 and XP SP3

* Other improvements include upgraded scanning functions, enhanced NTFS operation capabilities, etc.
