The receptionist, isn't she that woman who shows up every day all dolled up, just to answer some phone calls, receive some packages, while doing her nails and chatting about gossip?
She sits by the entrance of the company, occupying a big space all by herself, like a beautiful decoration, as long as she's "there", she can easily finish a day's work. The struggles of the workplace, all-nighters, office politics... none of these have anything to do with her.
So some people envy her, others disdain her, creating a whole spectrum of attitudes towards this humble position.
