This platinum-encrusted diamond-encrusted skull, named For the Love of God, is a replica of a human skull made by Damien Hirst, a British contemporary artist who was selected as the most authoritative figure in the contemporary art world by Art Review magazine. It is worth $98 million. Its surface is inlaid with 8,601 sparkling diamonds (worth 120 million pounds), with hundreds of gems on its eyes and nose. There is also a 52-carat, pear-shaped diamond on its forehead, surrounded by 14 other diamonds. This skull is currently on display at the White Cube Gallery in London's West End.
