There has never been so many journalists: Beijing is about to face a huge media feast. There have never been so many foreign journalists. According to reports from China, 40,000 Chinese and foreign journalists will cover the Olympics, with three quarters coming from Beijing. 21,600 journalists are registered with the International Olympic Committee and its two media centers, and another 10,000 have signed up at the China Media Center. The rest are freelance journalists.
