Fang Xingdong, chairman of the China Internet Labs, said at the First China Electronic Service Conference on December 9 that Beijing, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Guangdong have equivalent actual strength in the Internet. They divide up the Chinese Internet market into four equal parts. According to statistics from the China Internet Labs, as of December 18, 2007, there were altogether 22 Chinese Internet companies listed in the United States, Hong Kong and mainland. Calculated according to the locations of the Internet enterprises' headquarters, there are 10 in Beijing, 6 in Shanghai, 3 in Guangdong and 2 in Zhejiang.
