Google search assistant "Xiaoku" appears!

Last month, someone discovered a Google version of a little assistant in the Google Docs source code and was astonished. Some people even thought that if Google added a small assistant to Google Docs like Microsoft Office did, then Google would be totally uncool. Fortunately, it later turned out that it was just an Easter egg in Google Docs. But now, I have to tell you, the Google assistant is really here!

To be precise, it's the "Google Search Assistant." Since last year, Google has been testing a mini-portal style homepage:

If you go there now, you will find a bald head in the upper left corner. It is Google's search assistant.
