AOL Redux: 2G AIM Mail

AOL has been making frequent moves recently. Just a few days ago, they opened up registrations for xDrive, and now they've launched AIM Mail with 2GB of storage. As long as you have an AOL or AIM account, you can easily get it. After activation, the AIM Mail address will have "@aim.com" as the suffix, though you can also purchase your own custom domain if you prefer.

While the features seem fairly comprehensive, it's still unclear what they will use to challenge Google Mail, Yahoo! Mail, and Live Mail. However, it appears they are likely taking a similar approach.
