Hong Kong is building a city-wide WiFi network with the highest speed of 11Mbps_MSN China Information and Entertainment

Hong Kong Telecom PCCW announced that it will deploy 3,000 WiFi hotspots at various locations across Hong Kong, which is a 6.5 times increase from the current number, providing wireless internet services with speeds up to 11 Mbps. The announcement did not disclose technical details; however, based on the speed, it is likely to be 802.11b technology, where multiple users in each hotspot area will share an 11 Mbps bandwidth.
