Pileus: Network Umbrella

Pileus is an umbrella connected to the Internet that can bring you endless fun on rainy days. Pileus has a large screen on its top surface, a fixed camera, motion sensors, GPS, and a digital compass, and it provides two main functions: social photo sharing and 3D map navigation.

The photo function is linked to the major online service "Flickr". Users can take photos with the camera on the umbrella, and the images will be uploaded to Flickr with contextual tags via a wireless internet connection within two minutes. Users can also enjoy downloading and viewing photos from Flickr... simple operations.
