Tests show that Windows Vista isn't slow!

Windows Vista has finally begun manufacturing and is about to hit the consumer market, allowing us to accurately test the new operating system and see how it performs. In our initial tests, we've found that while Vista does have higher hardware requirements, it should run well on computers that meet Microsoft's Premium Ready configuration (1GB of memory, a graphics card that supports DirectX 9 and has at least 128MB of dedicated video memory), even when using the Aero interface.
