Baidu's days are numbered, and the C2C project is doomed to fail.

Baidu's multi-faceted offensive puts it at odds with the other two internet giants, akin to warring states. Without the strategic acumen of Wei and yet choosing to simultaneously confront two powerful rivals, Baidu appears overambitious and ill-prepared, which will likely result in its being effectively strangled by Tencent and Alibaba. Should its e-commerce ventures falter, few of Baidu’s over a hundred projects outside of search have seen success, and it risks going the way of Yahoo. Thus, Baidu is essentially paving its own path to ruin.
