On September 23, the world's first Google Android phone, HTC G1, was released in New York, USA. The pre-order slots for the Google G1 phone on T-Mobile's website have been sold out. Many people rushed to the T-Mobile website to place orders as soon as the phone was released.
Last year, Apple achieved unprecedented success with the release of the iPhone. Google has also identified the demand in the high-end mobile communication device market and wants to claim a share of it. Previously, Google launched its Chrome browser and will also release a mobile version.

This phone, named G1 by American telecommunications carrier T-Mobile, uses the Android platform co-developed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance (OHA). Android originally meant "robot" or "android," and Google used this name for its mobile terminal platform. Android includes all the software necessary for mobile phone operation, such as the operating system, user interface, and applications, without any proprietary restrictions that could hinder innovation in the mobile industry.
The G1 is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM7201 processor with a clock speed of up to 528 MHz, along with 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM memory space, providing strong support for various applications on the Android platform. Google claims that the G1 is the first true multi-threaded smartphone. The device features a screen with a visible area of approximately 3.17 inches and a 260,000-color HVGA resolution (480×320 pixels).
