The other day, Macbook Air was officially released domestically. Ever since the launch of this currently thinnest laptop in the world, it has been highly concerned for its "slim and thin" shape.
New level of "slim and thin"
The thinnest part of Macbook Air reaches an unprecedented 0.16 inches, while its maximum height of 0.76 inches is still lower than the thinnest point of similar laptops, demonstrating a new level of visual and tactile experience for laptops.
Different from other slim and light laptops, Macbook Air has not sacrificed its full-size keyboard, which features an automatic light sensing function that can automatically turn on backlight when surrounding light dims. In the meantime of ensuring portability, its functions are more humanized.
New highlights in performance
Macbook Air adopts a 13.3-inch LED backlit LCD screen with a resolution of 1280*800 pixels. Its multi-touch touchpad supports various touch gestures such as opening, rotating and sweeping, making browsing and rotating photos or enlarging webpages more intuitive than before.
Macbook Air is equipped with a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB shared secondary cache, including 2GB standard memory, an 80GB 1.8-inch hard disk, as well as the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi technology, Bluetooth 2.1 module and built-in iSight camera.
Strongly dependent on wireless networks
Of course, in order to be thinner, Macbook Air body has removed some peripheral devices, leaving only one USB port, one earphone socket, one miniDVI output port, together with one magnetic power interface.
In the standard configuration, Macbook Air does not have a network cable port, thus depending on wireless networks, which also becomes a factor for consumers to consider when purchasing.
According to Apple Inc., MacBook Air will be available at the end of February, priced at RMB16,988
